Also, I didn't know until this morning that Steph, in an earlier incarnation, used to be Sister Sleaze on the Brother Wease show (WCMF out of Rochester, NY) in the mid 80's! Man, I listed to the Wease show every morning for years! That's so cool!

10. Much to the nation's chagrin, intelligence appears to take a |
|
back seat to ideology. Steph was saying that Hannity was 'defending' those caught up in the DC sex scandal. Stange how he was crucifying Clinton...I'm wondering if he is on that list as well...
As for Stephanie, she is the ultimate GOP nightmare, and intelligent woman that gets people to think...:D

I hope everybody here is weighing in! There are email addresses farther upthread. And I posted the phone number here somewhere, too. I've been loving her show. It's played havoc with my sleeping schedule, but who cares?

And the Mooks too! This has been a real treat watching them. I listen to them on my morning commute here in L.A. I miss some of the MSNBC broadcast because it is at insane-o'clock, but they are rerunning it on KTLK at the normal 6-9 time, so I get to catch most of them in one format or the other. :D

27. I don't think she will be a permanent replacement in that time slot. |
|
I suspect msnbc doesn't even intend to put a permanent replacement there. But I think they have shown us that if the future format is one of revolving radio hosts, we can expect more of Stephie in the future, and perhaps other personalities such as Hartman, Rhodes, Schultz, etc. All good things. But the greatest payoff here is the exposure and publicity that will bring in a larger radio audience and keep progressive radio alive.

Thanks for making them feel so welcome. I guess the wedding will be in Feb or March. They are looking for a place to have the reception, and once they lock that it, things will speed up.. They've dated for about 6 years so far, so they are ready to go..
My other son and his wife were looking forward to coming next, and she had some serious problems.. he dad has cancer and is not doing all that well, and then all of a sudden there's a shit-load of drama at her office too.. She's seeing a therapist to try and help her cope, but there's no way they could hold their plans.. My son was thankful that you said they could reschedule when things calmed down. Her parents were coming with them, and with her dad having a setback, it changed everything..

relatively harmless because he's a LIBERTARIAN!!!
Just another one of those wolves in sheep's clothing who isn't brave enough to declare he's a hard-core republi-CON. I've found that many of those who at least realize the label "republi-CON" is a turn-off will call themselves "libertarian" to avoid alienating people. They hide behind it to conceal their real leanings.
When he's on, guess who I WON'T be tuned in to see?

adds so much to the show. (Well, okay, the mooks are smart, manly and funny).
The Stephanie Miller Show is a well-tuned product.
Hartman, Rhodes and Schultz fly solo, which seems like a less interesting presentation for the teevee.

The Stephanie Miller Show is a well-tuned product.
This is what I noticed when it used to be on the air in Columbus (before the ClearChannel station hosting it switched to rightie trash). Everything about it is just right - Chris's laugh, Jim's impressions, Stephanie's wise attitude, the sounds, the songs - perfect.
With Miller in the morning and her "future husband" at night, MSNBC has it all now!

It works on the radio. Doesn't necessarily translate well on tv, but it IS a radio show being simulcast for 3 days - so maybe it should just be itself...

34. I like her. At first, I wasn't crazy about all the bells and whistles but even THAT has grown on me. |
|
My only criticism is I wish she would spend a LITTLE more time on an issue. She jumps around a little too much.
For instance.....this morning she brought up Hannity's hypocrisy regarding the latest rethug hooker-gate (what number are we on now? 3 or 4 during bush's term?)...I was hoping she would rail on him a little more and REALLY expose his hypocrisy with a bunch of quotes but it was over in a flash.......I thought of it as a missed opportunity to REALLY turn the screws while mr. and mrs. Joe six-pack are watching MSNBC.......because I know it and you know it...it doesn't mean mr/mrs six-pack know just how maniacal hannity and his cohorts really are.
My first impressions could be wrong as I never listened to her much on the radio only because I'm not in the car at that hour.........
She sure beats the hell out of Imus and Schmer-what's-his-name..........and I'll keep watching.
