Will the Dems learn that they can get things passed that they want? Will they stop being so damn scared of the pukes? Will they start to pass ANYTHING Progressive once they know that they dont HAVE to capitulate to the pukes?

2. I honestly don't believe the Republicans in Congress want it to fail.

They could never have stopped HCR and they knew it, and they had nothing to lose by opposing it for partisan public consumption and everything to gain from a political perspective.

They didn't vote for it and still got what they wanted.

Had they sincerely participated for the sake of common sense, fiscal, moral and logical policy without the thought of political gain, the ultimate bill would have been more progressive than it is, and that's why they didn't participate, they never wanted progressive people empowering policy.

As it is, This plays to their natural frame of corporate supremacy over the people and will ultimately make the Democrats out to be the bad guys when the mandates actually hit the fan after the next Presidential election.

Thanks for the thread, NightWatcher.

5. I agree that they are corporate whores, the lot of them, but they've been saying they cant pass
anything because they dont have some magic numbers in the Senate. So what are they going to do when they actually pass something and we try to get them to pass some more for us?

They are going to lie and say that they cant pass anything (even though they just did)

6. The Corporatist Party knows it can pass whatever it wants.

But passing something for the sake of passing it means nothing, unless it benefits the American People.

It's like watching professional wrestling, I haven't watched it in years, but back in the day it was fake, the referee was always distracted by butterflies or something that prevented him from actually watching what was taking place in the ring.

Heroes versus the villains, you can cheer the heroes and boo the villains but after it's over they shake hands and share your money.

7. They both use each other for cover. It's a shell game.
Or, that's how it looks today.

9. I view them as fig leafs to cover each other and to keep the American People divided and thus
voting against their own best interests.
