Jobs bill is signed, insurance reform WILL pass - Banking reform must be next!
GOP Senators - led by Bohner -vow to oppose the banking reform bill in the Senate now - they are being lobbied to the tune of $1 million per day, up to 4 lobbyists per member of Congress by the banking "industry" in an all out effort to avoid regulation of credit and mortgages and increased Federal scrutiny of banking procedures. They have the GOP bought and paid for, and it seems like another us-vs-them contest that we must win.

I must tell you , I am slowly revising my negative views of Democrats congresspersons - they seem to have developed at least some spine and maybe even decency over the last months.
At least compared to the criminal trash on the right.

It will be an interesting spring.

2. Evidently, it is not so far - the banks are in a heavy spending mode
trying to defeat it. GOPers might be stupid, but they are collecting a ton of cash from the bankers right now.....
