The second mouse gets the cheese.... |

so it seems that the Rethugs have lost on points...TF Bad. They've elongated their fight against 'healthcare' and got rope-a-doped to the point that they don't know whether they're coming or going. Now they're going to have to campaign against bringing HC to the poor (most of them at least), rail against pre=existing conditions issues re:insurance companies, and the like. Sure it's an imperfect bill to say the least, but it's a lot of months until November and much could be done to bury the Republican reprobates...we'll see if it happens.
I for one am pleased to watch their snarls give way to resignation and hopefully, despair, JUST THE WAY WE DID IN 2000 AND BEYOND...TF Bad for them, right?
I don't think this was an Obama three-dimensional chess game, they just lost...now they have to contend with their sex scandals...didn't Rep.Massa just fall off page 1, and now their stupid governor and senator from C-Street are in the crosshairs, and in Big trouble.
TF Bad...

1. Most voters aren't interested in poverty issues |
|
Not bashing voters, just sayin...that's not why they vote
It'll be easy for the Repubs to slogan away as usual "Waah, waah, Obama gives to the RICH (Wall Street Bankers) and the POOR (health insurance subsidies if you're broke)"
Same shit, different election

2. Well, they better GET interested in poverty issues |
|
because those are the very issues that are going to apply to a lot more of them in the near future, unless things change a lot more drastically than they will with this health care reform.

3. I don't have a lot of pity. |
|
None, to be exact.
They are flailing. I heard in a town hall meeting 4 days ago (would you call it the nick of time) Virginia Foxx said to us that Health Care will pass depending on "how many arms Mrs. Pelosi is willing to break" when we already have the best system in the world. She is not sanguine.
Tomorrow (note again the last of the nick of time timing) Richard Burr is holding his at Wake Forest U. I'll be there. Just to see and hear him squirm.
