Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani conferred on Tuesday with Ayatollah Sistani on regional developments.

Larijani on the last day of his visit to Iraq arrived in Najaf on Tuesday and met with Ayatollah Sistani, the spiritual leader of Shiite Muslims in Iraq.

After the meeting, Larijani took part at a press conference and outlines the outcome of the meeting.

Speaking to reporters, he said they reviewed the current regional developments as well as ties between Iran and Iraq.

Expressing his satisfaction with his meeting with the spiritual leader of Iraqi Shiite Muslims, he highlighted the significant role of Ayatollah Sistani in Iraq's developments.
