Are they really going to send Prince Harry to Iraq?
The bad guys there are already falling all over themselves making plans to kidnap him. And won't that make for a fine mess!

As much as we talk about Barbara & Jenna serving in Iraq, as a practical matter, I don't understand why the Brits would just hand over this big prize. Not to mention endangering the poor sods that have to serve with him!

1. Think of his fellow soldiers' burden..
Would YOU like to be the one who was next to him when he got killed or wounded? or would YOU like to be in the middle of the bulls eye with him?

This is a HUGE blunder..!

The Brit idiots should never have announced he was going--why
paint a big target on the kid's back, and endanger his unit? He should still go (noblesse oblige and all that), but they've got to keep it quiet.

4. I, for one, applaud him for not shirking his duty
He has trained for this for quite some time and has repeatedly said that he wants a career in the military. Besides, if he's there, he can't be at home running around in Nazi uniforms.

I'm pretty sure that the men in his outfit are well aware of the dangers, as is the British military. I don't think they would allow him to go if he really wasn't up to it.

6. A) He really want to GO
B) In the end he will be just another troop. The Brits will not have guys with mirror lens sunglasses around him.

8. It'll all be PR
They'll get him in there for a few days, take lots of pictures and then whisk him away to an undisclosed location.

Not to bust on Harry, but there's no chance in hell they'll let him do anything except pose for photos and video to show on the "News".

10. I think it's good he's going.
If he's part of the military, why not deploy with the rest of the unit. I'm sure he'll be just fine.

13. Now I would be up in arms about them sending Harry Potter, although
I'm sure he would be able to clear up the whole mess in a very short while.

Is it July yet? I'm pining for my book and the new movie!!!!!!!!

16. Prince Harry himself is forcing this issue!
I admire this kid a great deal - he is pushing to go with his fellow soldiers, but the commanders and politicos fear that, if he were to get hurt, the Queen would make Toni Bliar into a pair of shoes!

Harry's point being, of course, that if the Brits can't bring themselves to post him to Iraq, they should pull out of the "coalition" altogether.

17. This is no-win
You're right; there is the risk. However, if he, a serving officer, doesn't take his turn in the barrel, he and the royal family will be accused until hell freezes over of being over-privileged poltroons.

His uncle Andrew, at the time also the spare, served in the Falkland War as a combat chopper pilot. He too could have been captured.
