Doctors, AARP support new health overhaul bill
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100319/ap_on_go_co/us_health_overhaul_endorsements

The nation's largest association of doctors and the AARP senior citizens' lobby are endorsing President Barack Obama's revised health overhaul legislation.

Two sources speaking on condition of anonymity said the American Medical Association would announce its endorsement in a Friday afternoon conference call with reporters.

The AMA has supported earlier versions of the bill. One of its top priorities is permanently ending scheduled cuts in doctors' Medicare reimbursements. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she would try pushing such a bill through Congress soon.

AARP has steadily supported health overhaul efforts. In a statement Friday it said the legislation "will improve health care for older Americans and their families."

2. AARP *IS* a huge "For Profit" Health Insurance Corporation.
AARP = United Health Care Medical Insurance

Of Course AARP supports this bill.

3. Here's How Righties Play That Off
My brother-in-law, who is a doctor as well as a Republican apologist, explained to the rest of the right-wingers in the family that the REAL, ACTUAL DOCTORS don't like the Healthcare Reform Bill, but it's just the AMA (who are ADMINISTRATORS and UNION MEMBERS--BOO!!! HISS!!!) that are cozying up to the Democrats because all Unions are liberal.

So, anytime a group representing people who will be most affected by any proposed legislation takes the side of the Democrats, it's NOT because that group recognizes a good thing when it sees it, it's because that group's leadership are union members and paper-pushers who are liberals. The REAL people, who are ACTUALLY "down in the trenches," always side with the righties.

5. AMA is a conservative organization. AARP sold out seniors
when they endorsed Chimp's prescription plan.

6. AMA is part of the ongoing problem
They *don't* police the bad doctors that kill and maim patients. So doctor's have high malpractice insurance payments. Doctors whine about the insurance - yet do NOTHING to solve the problem in the first place.

Kind of like our government promising healthcare and giving us a mandate and protected profits for the insurance companies.

The Mad Hatter would love the way we govern!
