Questions regarding the US Attorney firings scandal: |
|
What is actually happening here? Almost immediately after the '04 elections, the White House begins, as secretly as they are able, to place hand-picked loyalists into certain court districts around the country. BY 2006, they are fully into it. These are strategic replacements, not "wholesale" ones. Why? What were they trying to accomplish? There is no way that is just to harass Democratic politicians in those districts or to ease the prosecutions of Republicans - the former is just not cost effective and the latter is too far gone to ameliorate. No, there is something else that would cause this much effort and this much risk, but what is it? Remember, this was a fairly elaborate scheme, constructed to let Gonzo (and Bush) have a deniability cutout. Again, why? What were/are they trying to accomplish with these seemingly bizarre, overly complicated, machinations? Where is this all leading? Any ideas?

1. If you are going to steal the election you have to have courts that |
|
are protecting the pug "winner". They are putting their system for 2008 into place now.

3. You know, I was mildly taken aback (and, of course I shouldn't have been) |

when I read this morning something about Karl Rove's plans for the '08 elections. I thought, 'Who does Rove work for?' I had become so used to thinking of him as joined at the hip with Bush that the concept of Rove "working" on elections that didn't involve Shit-for-Brains just sort of gave me a "D'oh!" moment. This whole thing being about the subversion of the '08 elections makes more sense than anything else - so far...

4. I think that rove and all are really working for the corporations like |
|
big oil and coal, military linked business's and drug co. They are truly the party of big business. Small business's just go along for the ride and never understand that they are the ass the candidate rode in on. Same for the rw churches.

5. They never anticipated losing the mid-term |

election. All of this would have gone under the radar if they had won and kept the majority. They got caught with their fingers in the cookie jar and I'm sure we'll find out even more things they've been doing which just might land a whole passle of them in jail.
