AMA and AARP Announce Support for Revised HCR Bill
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/politics/wire/sns-ap-us-health-overhaul-endorsements,0,1483443.story

WASHINGTON (AP) — The nation's largest association of doctors and the AARP senior citizens' lobby are endorsing President Barack Obama's revised health overhaul legislation.

Two sources speaking on condition of anonymity said the American Medical Association would announce its endorsement in a Friday afternoon conference call with reporters.

The AMA has supported earlier versions of the bill. One of its top priorities is permanently ending scheduled cuts in doctors' Medicare reimbursements. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she would try pushing such a bill through Congress soon.

AARP has steadily supported health overhaul efforts. In a statement Friday it said the legislation "will improve health care for older Americans and their families."

The pieces are falling into place.
