Hey there Dennis Kucinich
Edited on Fri Mar-19-10 05:12 PM by truedelphi
About the money we recently sent you.

Please keep it.

No one at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue returned our donations to their campaign when they went all centrist. Even though, now that Huffing ton Post reporter has exposed the Big Money Deal that Rahm made on behalf of this Administration, I realize that they really do not need our small change considering how fabulously things will be for them.

So although I am sad  that you wanted so much to hold on to your Sub Committee Posts and your status in the HOUSE, that you decided to give them your vote, and although I wish you had just offered up the middle finger to the offer of the ride on AF One, I am not in your shoes. I don't know all the details of the many considerations that went into your decision.

I know very well that no bags of money or jobs as A Big Insurance Exec will come your way should you ever retire from your post as an elected servant. Even though you offer the Centrist Administration the deciding vote.

Disappointed in you, Yes. But these are strange times. And in strange times, your constituents cannot expect what would normally be expected.

(Despite my Calif. address, I consider myself your constituent.)

1. DK acted with grace regards to the political pressure.
so I am not disappointed and barely surprised in the situation.

I am more disappointed in Obama and political tactics from the WH.

2. Sorry you're disapointed! I'm happy that DK is a reasonable person
He tried his best to get ALL he wanted (and we wanted) from health care reform. . .but at the end, he realized it was better to take a step forward than to let the status quo (or worse!) win!

Thanks to Dennis K.

3. +1
I'm not sure whether DK is any kind of saint, but he, more than anyone else, seemed to be trying to swing this legislation in our direction.

He was greatly outnumbered, and vastly outspent. That's our fault, not his.
