Grayson on Big Ed: No Deals are Being Made. Pelosi is Pressuring Members on the MERITS
Edited on Fri Mar-19-10 05:39 PM by berni_mccoy
Just now on Big Ed. Grayson denies that there is deal-making going on and says he's seen Pelosi having good impact arguing on the MERTIS of the HCR BIll. He said it's been a good day. He said that people who are claiming that there are back-room deals going on are simply Republicans who are panicking that the HCR Bill is about to become law. No one should be making this claim.

I'd also add that there are a few DUers making the claim of back-room deals. Grayson just called them panicking Republicans.

1. That's too bad
I was hoping progressives were getting some assurances of future help for improving the bill in return for this vote.

3. Could not be further from the truth
My opposition to this bill is due to the fact that it preserves way too much of the status quo for the average working class person.

My hope was that the progressives were getting some assurance of future improvements to the bill in return for their votes.
