I'm running for Democratic County Committee
as a precinct chair. It's official as I picked up the paperwork today.

I live in such a small town that I only need one signature to get my name on the ballot (which will be my own) and I will be on there. NOw if only this paperwork were not so confusing.

3. there is an incumbent
I know nothing about her but apparently she's not very active in the party as I've gone to all the meetings, etc. I don't think i've ever met her. The boro clerk told me she's been the chair for years. I'll knock on doors the weekend before the primary and I'll have my friends help me out.

There are 4 precincts in my town, and 8 committee chairpersons for each party. (a male and a female Democrat and Republican). The male position for my precinct is vacant but of course the female position is not.

I want the Democratic Party of Monmouth County to become more progressive and more assertive. I figure it's time to take matters into my own hands.

2. NO!
You need to "witness" a democratic party member signing your petition in order to get on the ballot. You need to witness another person signing your petition. (This is how it is in NYS - not sure if the same in NJ)..

Congratulations!
I am on the county comm. but not a chair..

Kudos! I'll send ya props on FB!

5. Good job! I'm the precinct chair in my precinct, simply because
I was the only one who wanted the vacant position. I already have a web site up for the precinct, and it's already getting hits. I plan to turn the position into an active one, against all precedent.

10. Congrats on running for chair, I am also a precinct chair. .
Have you talked the woman who is chair now.

She might give the job to you if she isn't active.

Someone ran against me and I would have given the job to him.

This guy cost me my job at early voting by putting my name on the ballot.

He cost me a lot of money, I couldn't work early voting because of this.

I still won, but damn I would have rather worked early voting.
