AZ Rep Senate race McCain 48 Hayworth 41 Rasmussen

A seven point margin for the party's former standard bearer in a primary?

If there is a low turnout McCain could be in real trouble.

2. I'm thinking he'll pull through.
Tea bagger impetus could pop with the passing of HCR.

But I know little about AZ politics.

4. The thing is you never know who shows up for a primary.

Low turnout could cook McCAin

5. I dunno. The Teabagging is strong in AZ.
But, here's the thing, the Teabags have their own candidate, Jim Deakin. I don't expect he'll get many votes but could split votes from JD.

12. Not so fast. Dems thought there was no way Ev Mecham could win in '86.
They even started a "Democrats for Mecham" group during the primary because they figured there was NO WAY he could win in the general. Don't put anything past the voters here.

14. Not pulling for any Republican.
Just saying that Arizonans aren't the most rational voters.

16. Oh no I don't mean to imply support for them but rather
Do you think McCain is the best possible outcome in the Senate race (realistically speaking.)

9. Imagine, if you will
The guy who was running for the highest office in the land had to drag in a month-old freshman senator and a former running mate to bolster his chances of winning a freakin' primary against a Bronze Elephant teabagger.

How funny is this!?!?

11. You know your choices are bad when it is down to McLame or the crazy Hayworth.
I am thinking the Dem probably won't win this one so perhaps it is better to hope Arizona keeps the even worse Hayworth out. At least McLame is getting old and might go senile in a few years.

15. AZ can't afford Hayworth to win.

Talk about a choice between two losers....still, I guess I'd rather have McCain than sleazebag JD Hayworth.
