Fast forward to financial reform- here's the preface to the speech:
Edited on Fri Mar-19-10 08:39 PM by depakid
"We have had -- we have had a year of hard debate. Every proposal has been put on the table. Every argument has been made. We have incorporated the best ideas from Democrats and from Republicans into a final proposal that builds on the system of private insurance financial regulation that we currently have.

5. Stop being selfish and only thinking of yourself.
That's the one I can think of. :(

6. I'm definitely not thinking of myself here. I'm thinking of the millions who will
still not get affordable health care despite having their pockets picked by a bunch of corporate crooks - three years from now.

In a world in which universal health care is considered a right, the best the "greatest nation" can offer its citizens is corporate fleecing sometime in the future?

Once the populace gets wind of this scam we'll lose our Democratic majority, and you seem to be of the opinion that's ok apparently. Who's being selfish?

Thanks for the face smack though.

If you read some of the threads I've responded to you'll see how I feel about this. For that feeling I've been called selfish, because it helps many of us not at all.
