2. I have type 1 diabetes, though I found out as an adult (sometimes called LADA type 1.5).

I cannot imagine being a child and dealing with the daily finger pricks to check blood, taking insulin multiple types a day, dealing with your insulin pump. These are brave kids and they will have this for life unless a cure comes along. This bill is huge for kids like this. Diabetes is very costly when not properly taken care of and blood sugars are not kept in tight control, which requires a blood glucose meter and regular check ups. These kids would have it real tough without insurance.
