1. There are no words left to voice my contempt for this particular Pope
(with all due respect for practicing sincerely devout Catholics)

5. I know. I have stayed out of this because
the words I'm thinking about that vile human being would be improper for even here. And yes, it may offend some good catholics is anothre reason like you said.

2. BTW - isn't it about time for the Vatican's spring fund raiser?

3. I guess he forgot the penance part of being forgiven.
If he was really sorry, he would do something other than say he was sorry.

8. As much as I agree with you,
and I really do...

This is probably a huge step forward for the Vatican.

Now let's see what follows with the investigation and such.

6. ...but all those kids were asking for it.
This guy is supposed to represent god on earth, and be the leader off a huge religion, and this is his answer? He is pretty arrogant and self serving, and if you feel I am bashing catholics, I have a right to - I was raised one.

7. Not sorry enough, being sorry is not enough. That does not
solve the problem or correct the behavior.

If the Pope is truly sorry for the grievous suffering that has been caused then admit the wrong (confession) and accept the punishment for the wrong (penitence) and do not continue or allow to cotinue the behavior that caused the suffering. Practice what you preach, and fix the problem.
