RAHM: Repubs 'at the behest of fringe group that's taken control of their party & they're scared'
Bonus Quote of the Day

"I think the Republicans have a level of energy but inside that energy they have their own problem and fissures. They're basically at the behest of a fringe group that's taken control of their own party and their own leaders are scared of it. "

-- White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, in a forthcoming interview on 60 Minutes.

1. Agree. Look at Boehner's eyes and Cantor. They are
not just afraid this bill will pass. They are afraid of the greater loss which will happen in the elections to come if the GOP are perceived as a fringe group of unmanageable, rabid, ideologues. I don't think either one of them are very intelligent, but when you compare their intelligence to Sarah Palin and the other red neck radicals, they look like geniuses.

2. I think he's right. Look at this photo of Pence at today's rally:

He looks just a bit scared to me. He knows that this same group would turn on him in an instant.

from anyone no matter how odious or racist the person may be. They egg this stuff on, and had a hand in getting the racist rallies started.

8. they are only scared of YouTube catching their nut cases mocking the ill, blacks, gays etc
Edited on Sat Mar-20-10 05:21 PM by Hamlette
HCR and Obama's numbers went up when those nuts were on TV 24/7 in August at the town hall meetings.

Pence had to "disapprove" of those ass holes mocking the PhD with Parkinson's. He'd rather have spent his time on TV saying the dems are wack. Instead he had to answer for "his own".

I agree they don't give a rats ass where their votes come from but in the back of their minds they have to wonder where they will get enough votes to be a majority, national party if the red necks scare the soccer moms off.

Our split with the Dixiecrats came over race. Will it be the same for the GOP or will the GOP take over Wallace's old party and thereby stand alone?
