2. I don't get this....
There are 253 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives and we need 216. Now I assume that 253 figure includes Eric Massa and John Murtha, who I believe were "no" votes anyway. So there are only 251 Democrats voting on this bill. That means that in order to be jeopardy, there must be 35 or more Democrats willing to jump ship.

Is my math wrong?

How does a handful of Democrats (I keep hearing the number twelve) constitute an obstacle to passage? We should be able to handle two dozen defectors and still get the Bill through.

I don't get this? Where's the drama?

4. I'm glad I'm not the only one...
It looks to me like we've got this thing all but sewn up with a handful of dissenting Democrats who don't have enough votes to matter.

Everybody's hyper-ventilating and I don't know wny.
