Immediately After This Health Care Bill Is Signed By The President......
the Dems - in both the House and the Senate - have to begin working on making it better and kicking in sooner.

2. Yeah, I'm sure they'll get right on that
Of course, I am still waiting on that Equal Rights Ammendment my grandma worked toward, and my mom, and me, and my daughter.... and my daughter is old enough that she is having hot flashes.

But I am sure the DLC will get right on fixing this sham victory they will celebrate

:banghead:

4. Reid Promises A Vote For A Public Option
...not that that will do much good, but at least the ideas need to stay fresh and shaken now and then. The most likely scenario will be court challenges to the rulings...if the SCOTUS overturns any or all provisions of this bill, we're back to step one. I don't see that happening, but some could be ruled out of bounds (the mandate) and that, too, will force Congress to come up with some kind of fix.

I suspect we'll see a revisit in four or five years, but as others have said, there are a lot of other issues on the burner that need to be taken care of...lots of heavy lifting between now and election day.

6. Problems will be addressed as it's implemented
Which is why it's phased in over time. I do hope there's a separate vote on a public option, but I seriously doubt that it will pass.
