The real significance of today's vote to me is not HCR but
that the whimps in the Democratic Party finally found some courage and are going to stand up to the thugs on the other side of the aisle. The foot is in the door.

1. It's a shame so many concessions were made along the way
in the name of "bipartisanship." It could have been a much better bill, but I suppose we have to be grateful for a big toe in the door.

2. Totally agree
I want a W in the win column, even if it is politically more than in terms of the content of the bill itself.

Or maybe what I'm really saying is that I want an L in the loss column for the Repugs.

Either way, let's get this done!

3. ... a win at the expense of 30 million people who can't afford ...
... to buy what they're now going to be required by law to buy, is no win.

4. If courage = inflicting unequal access to care controlled by corporatized mafia thugs
--well, I guess that's "courage." No "courage" to enact a public option that 82% of the public wants, though.

5. A win at the expense of the party being destroyed for a generation.

6. This whole process has been a profile in pathetic wimpishness, including passing this RW crap.
