Tell me I shouldn't be worried about today's outcome.
I want this bill to pass because it's the first step towards creating a health care system we can be proud of. I also want it to pass so I can see the Rethugs' heads explode, go ballistic, become even more unhinged, and show the world what kind of sick creatures they are.

2. I need that reassurance, too. The popcorn stays in the cupboard until
after the vote and after I see the blood vessels exploding on the necks of Mr. Tan Guy and Mr. Turkey Beak.

10. The vote will not happen if the votes are not there
No politician will tell the Speaker they will vote a certain way and then change their vote when the time to vote arrives. It would doom any chance they ever had of rising into any leadership positions.

8. I believe if we don't get this we'll never have anything
If this doesn't pass I will not see a public option or parity benefits for the GLBT comuunity in my lifetime.

If this passes in spite of the fact that the Republicans have thrown everything at it, and preyed on the worse darkest aspects of our nature, then there is a chance.

I also have to wonder if the fearmongering on the left is as misguided as the fearmongering on the right.

7. Debbie Wasserman-Smith was just on and first she said she was
confident we had the votes then she hedged. It was strange.

9. Hoyer on MTP just said We hope to have the votes. Then he said
we are going to pass this bill. Hoyer can not say he has it in hand at this moment.
