New poll: Schwarzenegger most unpopular governor in modern Calif. history
Source: San Francisco Chronicle

More Californians disapprove of the job performance of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger than any governor in modern state history including Gray Davis, who was ousted by Schwarzenegger in a popular uprising, according to a Field Poll released today.

Seventy-one percent of California voters surveyed said they disapprove of Schwarzenegger's handling of the job, while 23 percent approve. The low ratings are shared across all demographics including party affiliation, region of the state, age and race or ethnicity.

... Voter dissatisfaction is not limited to the governor. The Legislature has matched its all-time low approval rating of 13 percent and disapproval rating of 78 percent. Those numbers also are consistent throughout various demographics.

2. California is an ungovernable mess right now
Probably need to get rid of governing by plebiscite and get back to the hard work of actually governing rather than advertising propositions

8. You mean it really wasn't fun to elect an actor to the office of the governor?
It didn't shake things up, did it?

9. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the only governor I've seen naked.
And then only owed to the internet tubes.

If Davis was not perfect the trick ought to have been to replace him with someone better. That didn't happen.

Go, Jerry Brown.

Too late Just like for the rest of the nation.

Besides, the next Bushie PsyOp, shortly after a Democratic governor is elected and with the full complicity of the Corporate, Law Enforcement and Intelligence Factions, will put you all back to sleep.

11. What shocked me was that the voters of CA were so easily duped by an actor.
They should have known better.

13. Heck, polls show Boxer is tied with the repub challengers
So it seems California voters haven't learned their lessons yet, if ever.

(I assume you are being sarcastic about having previously elected an Actor. Fortunately, Ronnie wasn't able to wreck things completely in his stint. Unfortunately, that meant people thought of him as a "success" ).

17. That's cute, but the real deal is this: CA Democrats were duped
by a Republican, for whom they voted. And they might do so again. CA Democrats passed Prop 8. Elected Arnie twice, both times claiming the Democrat was too boring to vote for. Many did not vote at all.
Sure they elected Reagan. But they also elected Pete Wilson, the racist who is the head of Whitman's campaign, and Dukemajian, two more Republicans from fields other than the films. CA is not 'duped by actors' CA is duped by Republicans, again, and again. It matters not what they do for a living, if they are GOP, CA puts them in office, again, and again.
