4. Sometimes I wonder about all these law enforcement agencies |
|
and how dirty they still are. Obama has only been in office for a year. These are the same people that stalked Cynthia.

18. You know, not much has changed. The rhetoric has just switched sides. |

All of a sudden it's ok to be in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to keep DADT as policy, and to torture, and to renew the Patriot Act. And now it's the other side screaming about fascism and concentration camps and police states. It's actually quite hilarious if you look at the big picture.
I've noticed something, and maybe I'm wrong about this, but my life hasn't changed one iota since Obama took office. I'm still pissed about the same things, I still don't have decent health care and won't even with this new "bill", I never owned a house or stocks or a retirement account so I lost nothing in the collapse, I'm quite good at my job so I'm always in demand, so really in essence this presidency hasn't changed a single thing for me. I was hoping for the Democrats to have a spine and to stand up for what's right not what's profitiable, I guess next time I should wish for a spine not made of jelly.

22. Respectfully... DADT could have been repealed... Guantanamo could be |
|
closed. The Patriot Act could not have been renewed, Torture could be stopped as could warrentless wiretapping. We could have gotten out of Iraq and Afghanistan or at least started in that direction, instead we added Pakistan as a third front.. War criminals could have been prosecuted. Lawyers who rewrote laws to allow for torture could have been disbarred. I could do this all fucking day.
Maybe, just maybe, it's you and your pathetically low standards that ought to go away. Or maybe you'd like to go to Pakistan and tell some of those dead children how much better things are for them now that Obama is President.

21. I think the class war has overtaken the ideological one. |

And, you know something, I've never used that term before this year because it always seemed a little over the top.

23. We do seem to be headed in that direction... |
|
And while I haven't thought much about it you are probably right, the question will be how far will the lower class be pushed before they push back. Apparently judging by the other response to my post we have a long way to go before people can even see what's going on right in front of them. Didn't you know everything is hunky dory now that Obama is in office and I should respectfully go away...

14. Just accused HCR advocates of "greed." |
|
And announced that HCR would be the death of freedom.
She also made cheap shots at getting pensions, student loans, and mortgages with the help of the federal government. Wonder if she'd strip veterans of their pensions?
