If "lying to Congress" is a crime like perjury, how are these asshats |
|
able to get on the floor of the House and just outright lie without penalty? Honest disagreements over policy is one thing, and certainly needs to be protected - but there should be penalties when they just out and out lie about things.
Of course, I'm wondering why no one has started ethics charges of some sort over Michelle Bauchman's telling rallies to not pay their taxes if obamacare passes, or to not cooperate with the census since it's in the Constitution that she swore to uphold and protect

2. That Does Not Apply, Sir, To Congression Representatives Themselves |
|
They may say any damn fool thing they please on the floor. The regulation affects only people summoned by Congress as witnesses before a committee and such like.
