1. Yup, the mask has come off now and we see what they are. However....

do we know at this point what percentage of Americans are cheering these racists on? I mean does it change anything? Will it drive some people away? I hope so. I hope it will drive at least half the current right-wing supporters away. Let them either stay home or vote D.

2. The Corporate Media Loves The Baggers...

They fill up lots of air time and get people's blood boiling...look at all the threads on here. There's also a rally for immigration reform going on the Mall this afternoon...a group larger than the tea baggers but they're orderly and "boring" so the corporate media takes a pass on 'em.

The rhetoric coming from the right shows how unhinged they've become and detached from far more people than they attract, but this is their base...this is all that's left of a party that's corrupt to the core and is bankrupt of both credibility and ideas. It's been a race to the bottom as the GOOP vainly holds on to its fracturing "base" and needs to get unhinged to keep up.

law enforcement turns a blind eye and arrests war protesters instead. We need to call them on the double standard!

3. The thing that worries me though; why aren't they being arrested?

Some of these people are waving around DEATH THREATS and DC police ignore them while arresting peace activists and DADT opponents. This sends the wrong message to the baggers; it encourages them to become more radical and continue their calls for violence. The MSM doesn't seem to be condemning them, nor are prominent Dems, so that just lends legitimacy to their insanity. Why the double standard? The Left would have never have gotten away with HALF this crap when BushCo was in office!
