5. This 'historic moment' filled with oozing hyperbole
and exaggeration about the importance of yet another mediocre, convoluted piece of legislation? The culmination of another dog and pony show that makes some people pleased by the crumbs they've been tossed while doing nothing (or worse) for the people who need help the most?

Yeah, sitting here right on my couch, eating some chips and dip. That's where I am

10. What historic moment?
The moment American's were forced to buy private insurance or pay the price? The moment pre-existers were told that there might be something for them if they can wait 4 years... because "high risk pools" are basically the same thing in auto insurance as they do in health insurance, subsidies be damned? What moment?

16. Oooh - what a bunch of doggy downers here!
I'm sorry Union Yes - I'll share in your glee!

Yippee! I don't care what the naysayers may say, this is a significant step in the right direction. If we had lost this...mmm mmm MMM, I hate to think.

The "right" (you know what I mean) has prevailed today. Against formidable, many-headed, well-financed forces of evil. We beat them back, if only a little bit. We stopped the slippage, at least for this day.

I trust my Dem leaders - Obama, Pelosi, Kucinich, Clyburn, Lewis, Frank, Cleaver, that this bill, much-weakened though it is, is a meaningful first step toward real health care equity.

37. Doggy downers? I don't even want to ask what that means.
I do think you guys might want to tone down the celebrations. It won't take people too long to figure out that this thing is a clusterfuck.

It's one thing when you can't deliver on the promises you make (a routine this administration has repeated to the point of nausea), but to celebrate that failure to deliver as if it were a major accomplishment could only compound the perception that the gap between our leaders and the people they are supposed to represent has become virtually insurmountable.
