3. When it's passed
Once this Health care Bill is passed and is in operation, which Republican will look a sick lady in the eye and tell her he or she wants her to leave the hospital, go home, stop wasting taxpayers money.....and die ASAP.

5. Welcome to DU! Now, a word of warning...
...we've had a lot of trolls today. Don't be intimidated if people are a little suspicious at first--if you are truly who you say you are, you'll be fine.

8. I've got DU on the desktop and the TV next to me. I think this bill is a very
important step forward. I would have liked Medicare for all, a public option, single payer and all, but I still support this bill, because it is a step forward IMO. There are a lot of people in this country out of sight, out of mind suffering horribly each day and many dieing because of need for healthcare. This country needs to move into the 21st century and start caring about people.

9. Current tally is 221-200
Ten have not cast their votes yet. If nobody flips in the next five minutes, however, the corporations control healthcare in America.

11. They are not votingon HCR, they are voting on the rules for debate of HCR.
Hours to go,
I think they are hoping people will give up and stop watching them.

12. There is one pesky problem for me.
Although this bill can look good on paper and other countries have successfully allowed the private insurers to sell their product, it's only because basic health care is paid for by the government insurance system that collects tax money for payments. Unless we open up Medicare as a plan that people, who don't qualify for Medicaid can choose to buy into, I don't believe it will work. Privatized systems in other countries and states aren't working so well, and are proving to be very expensive when they don't have a state national health care system that everyone can partake of if they don't have private insurance.

14. What difference does it make where it goes?
Facts and the past history of this issue are facts. Unlike the Freepers, I hope we don't rewrite reality into fantasy.
