1. Huh? You mean after its passed tonight?
Edited on Sun Mar-21-10 05:44 PM by Oregone
Costs are passed around in a shell game so people are content unless they get sick and have low actuarial valued plans, but the per capita expenses still cripple industrial competitiveness on a national level. So pretty much, nothing in the near future, except an election issue to wave around for midterms

2. Well,
If you are one of the people who can't afford insurance, or like me you are self employed and don't buy it because you can pay your own routine care, and if you get cancer it's no good because they will just cancel you, then you are now screwed and must start purchasing the product of the biggest fucking scumbags the world has ever known. Change indeed.

5. Or if you are self employed like me there will be an exchange where you can...
buy insurance that cannot be cancelled when you get cancer and a government subsidy to help you afford the premiums. It will be a god send to those of us who pay insurance but can't afford the real thing.

7. How's this? Where is your link?
"Here's the CBO report in question. It found: "CBO and JCT estimate that the average premium per person covered (including dependents) for new nongroup policies would be about 10 percent to 13 percent higher in 2016 than the average premium for nongroup coverage in that same year under current law." Point goes to Alexander.

But the report continues:

Those figures indicate what enrollees would pay, on average, not accounting for the new federal subsidies. The majority of nongroup enrollees (about 57 percent) would receive subsidies via the new insurance exchanges, and those subsidies, on average, would cover nearly two-thirds of the total premium, CBO and JCT estimate. Thus, the amount that subsidized enrollees would pay for nongroup coverage would be roughly 56 percent to 59 percent lower, on average, than the nongroup premiums charged under current law. Among nongroup enrollees who would not receive new subsidies, average premiums would increase by somewhat less than the 10 percent to 13 percent difference for the nongroup market as a whole because some factors discussed below would have different effects for those enrollees than for those receiving subsidies.

So, when you factor in the subsidies, premiums will go down for 57 percent of the new individual customers. Point goes to Obama."

Here is the link.

11. I see you still can't provide proof. Here is what you asked for and more.
I'm done. If you can't look this stuff up yourself then why are you just saying things with fact checking. At least I knew that what I was saying was true and where I could find the proof.

Here is a health insurance premium calculator and a link to info on not recinding coverage

Here is why you will not have to lose your insurance if you use the exchange in the bill.

Senate bill
People with pre-existing conditions who have been turned down for health insurance could sign up for a high-risk insurance pool that would be available within 90 days and remain available until 2014. Within six months, insurers would be prohibited from denying coverage to children based on pre-existing medical conditions, from placing lifetime dollar limits on coverage and from rescinding coverage when a person becomes sick or disabled. The ban on exclusion based on pre-existing conditions would be extended to every one when the exchanges are operational in 2014.

10. Here are your links. But where are yours???? Why do you get to make up..
whatever you feel like with out proving your point? I'm done. Look up your own fact if you have any.

Here is a health insurance premium calculator and a link to info on pre existing conditions (that would be an illness that insurance companies must cover).

Here is why you will not have to lose your insurance if you use the exchange in the bill.
