I would hope that ALL women and minorities realize what the republican party now stands for |
|
It is the party of sexism, racism, and inequality

1. I wouldn't want ANY of these assholes anywhere near my uterus. |
|
It's none of their business.
My uterus belongs to ME... not those pasty white guys.

2. What you said, my sister! |
|
When those men can get pregnant, they can tell me all about it.

4. Thank you. My husband knew I'd get "hot" at this point and |
|
is letting me vent at the TV without asking me to "hush" (or I'll wake the children - two now-people I CHOOSE to have). He's pro-choice, but admits he will never be as personally effected by it as me.
Good guy.

7. Same kind of guy I've got. He's pro-choice, too, expecially after watching what |
|
I went through when I got pregnant. It was an ORDEAL. If anything, it made me even more ardently pro-choice than I already was. It was horrible, dangerously uncomfortable, and, toward the end, quite literally life-threatening. I blew up like the Michelin Tire man. Just creepy and abnormal. Both my pregnancies had to be ended early with induced labor because the doctor said it could NOT continue, or my life would be in danger. My husband even told me we needed to stop once we had our second, because he was afraid of what kind of strain that would put on my body again. He feared for my life and my health, seeing what pregnancy was like for me. All it did was reinforce my conviction that NO woman should EVER, EVER, EVER be compelled to go through that UNLESS SHE FREELY CHOOSES TO DO SO.
Hell, women used to DIE in childbirth, people! Routinely! Doesn't that mean anything to these anti-choice knuckle-dragger assholes?

6. I can't help it. As a woman, a mother - and the mother of a daughter of child-bearing age, |
|
that's all I can ever say about this issue. It's a NON-NEGOTIABLE. MY right to have the last word over what happens to MY body - is sacrosanct, and absolute. It is simply NON-NEGOTIABLE. PERIOD. End of story.
Unless....
We women can start legislating matters that directly affect the scrotum. I think that'd be fair, and fair turnabout. Wonder how all those men would like it if that started happening to them?

8. I understand your point, but Roe has to do with the right to privacy, which includes |
|
among other things what is between a woman and her Doctor, stays between a woman and her Doctor
but it is also covers a lot of other issues where the government should stay out of private and personal lives

9. I always realized what the Republican Party stood for |
|
which is why I was not a Republican. But now I'm wondering what the Democratic Party stands for. Or more precisely, what they are willing to fight for.

10. Yes, trading away your base isn't the smartest thing to do.. Hopefully, |
|
more women will become part of the congressional body.. Until then, our rights will not be heard.
