Attack Of The Facebook Whiners
These are starting to pop up on Facebook now. WAAAAHHHH!!!!

"I pledge not to vote for any candidates that support socialized healthcare."
This user just made their voice heard with 1-click on Facebook. If politicians don't listen to us today, we'll speak with our votes in November. As Obama and Pelosi prepare their "nuclear option" we must tell our other representatives to stand up and vote no!

(I actually responded to this one with two simple words: Including Medicare?)

And then there was this little gem (same person as above): "We're going to have a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke. What the ---- could possibly go wrong??"

6. I have had to hide both Democrats and Republicans alike.
I posted a status and then deleted it because I hate it when facebook becomes all political. I hate it the the pissed off Republicans are pissing me off and I hate it that the delighted Dems are pissing me off. It's a no win. ;)

7. A friend started a positive thread on tonight on her FB
One of her other friends posted something about how great our health care is compared to other countries using some statistics (don't know if they're true) about how 90% of American seniors needing a hip replacement got it within 6 months compared to 11% of British seniors, 14% of Canadian seniors, etc.

I replied, "American seniors covered under a government program called Medicare. Thanks for pointing out how effective government health care can be."

Strange how she hasn't replied...

10. That's Why I Responded That Way
I said that if she was pledging to not vote for any candidate who supports socialized medicine, and since you won't find a single candidate who will openly criticize Medicare, she probably ought to just stay home on Election Day. Maybe we can make this a national movement. If you disagree with healthcare reform, show your displeasure by staying home on Election Day!!! Like those jerks would ever vote for a Democrat anyway.
