The MSM's kid glove treatment of Republicans continues |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-21-10 11:53 PM by BeyondGeography
Imagine the following:
-Bill Clinton's former speechwriter roasts the Democratic Party for a failed strategy on HCR, saying that the result today is worse than anything that can happen in the midterms because it is a permanent policy defeat. This is what David Frum did earlier today.
-Nancy Pelosi, destined to be on the losing end of a vote, screams, "Hell no" at the top of her lungs twice, making a total ass out of herself.
-A Democrat screams something as vile as "baby killer" from the gallery once defeat has been assured.
Imagine what our friends on the telly would be doing with all of that.
This was an awful day for the Republican Party, and the talking heads, of course, are still trying to run with the "Democrats' monumental political challenges" narrative.
In the coming days, Obama's poll numbers will rise into the mid 50's, he'll hit the road with the wind at his back and Republicans will be staggering around Washington punch drunk with nothing but bullshit and vitriol to sell to the American public. Not that I expect the media to notice...

and he should be getting roasted for his "performance," as any Democrat would. This is the House minority leader? It's laughable.

3. It's pretty clear that there are a lot of Republicans that act like spoiled kids. |
|
They can't get their way, so they have these hissy fits. hard to take them seriously when they are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats.

5. The media will stain Obama if he doesn't get on it NOW |
|
And all of democracy is in the kill zone now. Like when the business roundtable got off their asses in the late 70's and gave us the Reagan revolution and free traderism.

Major bullshitstorm about to hit. Pushing the Indonesia trip back to June was smart.

7. it's unpopular, but reinstating the Fairness Doctrine may be the only cure |
|
If we get 20% time on all those Republican propaganda broadcasts, that means millions more would be educated. Or exposed to some facts anyway. Repealing Clinton's Telecommunications Act is obvious.
Not holding my breathe though.
