So the Freepers are now buzzing about the Attorney General of Florida...
...along with a few other showboating Republican AGs trying to declare the bill unconstitutional.

Any cause for concern?

2. There's nothing they can do even if the bill is proven unconstitutional.
Which it isn't. HCR is a LAW once signed.

Correct me if I am wrong please people.

3. I'd LOVE To Hear Which Constitutional Provision It Violates
You know, speaking as a Constitutional scholar and all. It has become pretty apparent to me over the years that right-wing mouth-breathers tend to use the word "unconstitutional" anytime they talk about anything they don't particularly like. Too bad it has a very specific definition. So, again, I'm just DYING to hear which part of the Constitution this bill supposedly violates.

5. Lawmakers write laws. How activist to try to repeal them.

6. Under what law does any state AG "declare" any bill constitutional or not??
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 12:17 AM by kestrel91316
IIRC, interpreting the law and determining when laws are in violation of the constitution falls to THE JUDICIARY BRANCH. AG is executive branch, at least on THIS planet.

7. Pure bluster.
Just like threatening to repeal it when they have the majority.
