BTW, and before it's forgotten...Where did the GOP get that hoax memo they gave to media outlets? |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 09:05 AM by blm
The GOPs went to excessive lengths to deceive the American people throughout the healthcare debate, including the crafting and distribution of hoax memos to the media.
Seems to me that hearings are in order. Those lies were repeated on the floor of the House. Lying to Congress and the American people in such a DELIBERATE way needs some accountability for the perps.

5. God told Boehner to abstain from spray tans for 40 days, 40 nights to stop healthcare bill, but... |

Boehner just COULDN'T resist temptation - his need to appear orange has become all-consuming. ;)

4. Washington powers will pursue it with about the same amount of alacrity |
|
as they did the authors of the niger yellowcake forgeries and the 8 years of government and complicit media lies about war and torture.
Lying to Congress and the American people is the new acceptable norm.

Payback is still the name of the game in Washington. I seem to remember something about the memo originating from Boehner's office, probably from a staffer. As if that weren't enough ammo for the Democrats to pursue this, you have Boehner's "punk staffer" comments of late.
At the very least, I think you're going to see posturing until the GOPhers offer up at least a low level staffer as the sacrificial lamb. At the most, I think you'll see a full blown congressional investigation that may lead to Boehner himself as having a part to play.

I can't understand why the Democrats don't want to hold the republicans accountable for any of this sick stuff they do. I think that memo should be investigated and every person who handled it, who released it to the press and who read it on the floor should be sanctioned or arrested for slander. They seem to be able to get away with anything and the spineless dems let them.

12. That's a very good question |
|
And as proof that it came out of the Republican caucus, I submit Paul Ryan's question, "Who cares who wrote the memo?" There's your lie detector test right there, as if it's immaterial where the memo came from. If I were investigating this, I'd start with Paul Ryan's office computers.

13. If someone has an 'Original'copy |

They can use the embedded tracking codes imprinted during printing to see what copier/printer it came from. Of course that would require a goverment agency that gives a shit about justice.

15. Why hasn't Politico made it available? Why isn't Politico angry about being hoaxed? |
|
Well, we DO know Politico works for the fascist agenda, so, they won't come clean about their role in it and won't even make an attempt at digging up the REAL news in this story.

... this would make the media less likely to trust this kind of "information", maybe even check their sources. That seems unlikely with the media we have.
