I stayed up way too late watching the votes last night, and I just realized
why-

I was waiting for the disaster when one or more Republicans took their own rhetoric too seriously and stated physically attacking someone. I don't mean in waiting for the Nascar crash sense, but wondering if we'd awake this morning with a new martyr.

Stay safe, everyone.

1. I'd rather have living, breathing, imperfect Democrats than a hospitalized martyr.

2. Looking for a Charles Sumner moment?
fortunately, it is no longer fashionable to carry walking sticks in the halls of congress.

3. Not looking for, but rather fearful of a Sumner moment.
A lot of the Republicans are living in a fantasy land and are apt to behave irrationally.

4. so true - and I didn't mean to imply you wanted to see it, just on the
lookout for it.

I think it is a good thing, in any case, that we recognize that name, but nobody remembers the name of the guy who beat him.

Maybe, one day, these people will be equally forgotten.

5. I turned my PC off around midnight, couldn't sleep and turned it back
on and read the comments until after 3 a.m. This is addiction people, I need a 12-step program...LOL.
