Am I correct in thinking I saw that Reid has some PO thing going on
in the Senate -- or something that will be added to this bill?

If so, do you know what it is?

Thanks!

4. That's right. Hopefully we can slide Grayson's bill in there. Thanks!

2. Harry? Surely you jest. His entire purpose in life appears to be to disappoint his
liberal base.

3. That would be a welcome surprise, even something small that could be
built on.

5. He wrote a letter to Senators Sanders and Merkley
promising a vote on the public option this year:

Harry Reid: I'll Try Again for a Public Option This Year

We'll have a much easier time with the mid-term elections if we say, "let the Rethugs back in, and you can say goodbye to your healthcare and hello to a draft!"

9. Me too. I was thinking, it's in his interest to do this
Because there were polls a little while back in Nevada showing his support increased significantly if he were to put through a public option.

6. HE cant' add it t this bill. Because then they will have to send it
back to the House to be re-approved. He is probably going to maybe add it in the future, but not to this bill. I heard on MSNBC that they can't change one word of anything in the bill or an amendment or it has to be voted on again, and the democrats won't do that.

7. He knows any future vote stands a snowball's chance in hell of getting past a Republican filibuster.
If he couldn't do it with a 60/40 margin, what on Earth makes him believe he can do it with a 59/41?

This is just a fig leaf.

Thanks for the thread, gateley.
