Poll question: Is this beer a stab at the Obama administration?

It reads: Limited Release
Lagunitas
Wilco Tango Foxtrot
A Malty, Robust
Jobless Recovery Ale
We're not quite in the Red,or in the Black..
...Does this mean we're in the Brown?!

I bought this beer yesterday without completely reading the label.
What do ya think?
Is it Racist? It's a Brown beer to be fair.
And it doesn't taste all that bad.

3. It's malty without being too hoppy
I couldn't drink more than one in a sitting. It's a bit sharp.

29. Well, WTF -- it HAS BEEN a jobless recovery.
Think of it as an anti-globalization, anti-corporate ale.

2. "And it doesn't taste all that bad."
Well, THAT's a ringing endorsement.

Whatever the maker means, it is not anti-Obama on its face. It is simply pointing out the economic reality. There's something else that's brown that people generally don't want to be in.

Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 02:27 PM by el_bryanto
What else does "in the brown" mean when crossed with "Jobless Recovery?" Either of those phrases wouldn't be a big deal by themselves - but together - it seems clear to me.

And they're a bunch of pot-smoking hippies pretty much from top to bottom.

I haven't had any and I don't think it's racist, but I have had their pale ale and I wasn't too impressed with it.

I hear it all the time in movies, especially those horrible Sci-Fi original movies that they play at 3:00 PM on weekends that I just can't seem to turn off.

Obama rocks the vote with members of Wilco
THE RIV | Concert and speech aim to energize young fans

December 8, 2007
BY ABDON M. PALLASCH Political Reporter/apallasch@suntimes.com
White House hopeful Barack Obama won even louder cheers than Wilco Friday night as he kicked off a series of Ba-rock concerts he plans to hold around the country energizing young fans.

"The speech was awesome!" Matt Marneris, 23, said as Obama finished at the Riviera in Uptown. "I just came here with my friend. I would have considered myself a Republican, but not anymore."

(Chris Sweda/Sun-Times)

"Jesus Christ our president..." Wilco lead singer Jeff Tweedy sang in a Woody Guthrie song written before Obama's candidacy.

But from the enhusiastic cheering for the man Tweedy introduced as "the next president of the United States," it might have seemed like it was written for Obama.

Lagunitas is a pretty tasty beer. I think I'll try to find this. I like brown ales.

But that being said they could have just as easily brewed a white or pale ale!!!! I'm series!
