You Realize Anti-HCR Has Little or Nothing To Do With Abortion |
|
Theater at its best. In fact I would be willing to bet any Republican "girlfriend" who found herself with child while Re pub daddy was married to another especially, would be hassled off to have that abortion procedure asap. It struck me as so odd that these mostly white, middle-aged men were soooooo concerned, not only with actual abortion but the language regarding it in the HCR bill. It was a little over the top IMO.
When you have little to nothing to cling to, try to reach the vulnerable, the anti-birth control freaks, the overly religious, that's their modus operandi. These guys don't fool me for a minute. They could care less about the fetus and even less than that when the fetus is born. Personally, I'm pro-choice and was raised Catholic. From an early age I had decided such matters would be decided by ME! Not my husband of the future, not a boyfriend, just me. You can bet that many of the women both married and not married to these poseurs made the same decision. They're just too stupid to realize it.

saying that it's the haves vs the have nots and yesterday the have nots won. This is a class war pure and simple.

4. I can't think of many political issues which do not have the class war at the root |

Abortion and birth control are opposed by the elite for 1 reason: a society where women are given equality and full reproductive rights will always see a decrease in population which results in fewer people which, in turn, results in tight labor markets forcing business to compete for workers. A labor market such as we see now with 5 people for every job is very good for business. The workers will be desperate and wages can be kept low.
As always, they are able to exploit the bigotry of the uneducated and unenlightened for whatever purposes they need them. Their opposition to abortion and birth control is it has resulted in fewer white babies being born as middle class white women have been the ones with more access to health care and proper contraception. The racists see their white male world being overtaken. The elite exploit this to prevent reproductive rights from gaining a strong foothold.

The anti-birth control nuts are their base, and a terribly sick bunch they are and desipte the "liberty" rhetoric, that's the last thing they want OTHERS to have in this country.
In the lives of the rich Rethuglican controllers the abortions that are wrong are the ones other people have, they have perfectly good reasons.

And when faced with a real -- not hypothetical -- decision, opinions can change very quickly.
