No Constitutional Problems with HCR |
|
One of the segments from this morning's Washington Journal program on Cspan focused on the constitutionality of the Health Care Reform Bill. Professor Timothy Jost of Washington and Lee University discussed the constitutional issues and came to the conclusion that the bill will stand. Watch and listen for yourself at the link below. He focused on the Commerce Clause. http://www.c-span.org/Watch/Media/2010/03/22/WJE/A/30947/Timothy+Jost+Washington+Lee+University.aspx

2. WH lawyers said the same thing. |

There is a provision in the Bill that says it won't interfere with existing state law (or, words to that effect).
I suppose if their State Constitution had something in it, they could opt out.

They are still going to waste taxpayer money from their respective states fighting this.
