I walked by a huge newstand today in Orlando and every paper said---Victory for Obama. |

If you look at it from that view--- it's a whole lot better than seeing "Defeat for Obama".

She get's a bum rap here at DU because she has to make decisions in the real world. But she pulled the Dems fat out of the fire. If we hold on to the House and Senate and get to push through a Public Option in a few years, it will be because she and Obama put this over.

8. Pelosi would've have made nuthin' happen without President Obama making HCR his signature effort. |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 06:26 PM by ClarkUSA
And without his all-out HCR push and working Congress behind the scenes since Scott Brown got elected, Pelosi would never have had the necessary votes. Dennis Kucinich credited President Obama with convincing him to support HCR, not Pelosi, for example.
Some folks can't give credit where it's due when it comes to Barack Obama, I guess.

Pelosi is the star of this show though.

11. That's what Pelosi and Harry Reid are. Without President Obama, HCR would not have been attempted... |

much less succeed. Most unbiased observers will note from the domestic and worldwide news coverage that this victory makes for the best first-year performance of a president evah in history, especially in light of the execrable political and economic circumstances he was facing when he took office.
