Barack Obama may yet be the best political strategist |
|
we've seen for decades. He has already destroyed Romney before the primaries - after all this is just Romney's Mass Health Care plan. Gene and Richard Wolfe are correct - if Romney denies his own health care plan he is fucked and if he doesn't he is fucked.
Fuck you Mitt!!!

4. I'll say. He sold a Republican's plan as a Democratic "healthcare reform" bill. |

I think I'm missing the part of this interpretation where I should feel like cheering. You're saying he promoted a Republican health care bill in order to corner his political opponents...? You would be impressed by a president who put such shallow political maneuvering ahead of healthcare reform?

11. He started the reform process |
|
I know politics and believe me it will take years - a minimum of two terms for Dems to reintroduce sensible policies after 30 years of Reagan and RW bullshit. Even the Democratic party will have to run some of those Demlite people out of town.
All liberals and socialists wanted more but sometimes you take what you can and fight for more. When people see the immediate changes, they will support more meaningful reforms.
I'm glad the Democratic Party won last night. Maybe you'd prefer Boehner to be celebrating tonight.

12. I find it humorous that you can suggest I'd prefer that Republicans win. |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 07:38 PM by Marr
By your own admission, the president promoted a Republican plan. To these eyes, that's what a Republican-- or at least corporate-- win looks like.
If you're only interested in celebrity and party politics, I can see how this might look like a big win. The Republicans took a PR bruising and Democratic Party politicians have something to celebrate. I don't see how I can interpret it that way for myself, however. And I don't think you can win a war by planting your opponent's flag before he does.

15. They would not have fought in such a nasty manner..... |
|
if they were only tepidly against it. Is it all that I want? No, of course not.....but the foundation of change has been put in place. Now we need to publicize the truth....positives and negatives. Then we can get the votes to continue adding to the foundation.
