Senate Parliamentarian RULES IN FAVOR OF DEMS
The best bet the GOP had to gum up the works, a point of order related to Medicare, was struck down by the Senate Parliamentarian.

They still could come up with something to strike a sentence or add an amendment, but that's the biggest hurdle so far on this.

6. They were grasping for the straws.
There best bet was that the bill would cause an increase in wages and therefore cause taxpayers to pay more in Social Security taxes.

Everybody hates their wages to increase.
