What do you think the chances are the bill will pass the Senate by the weekend? |
|
It's just happens my husband and I are in Washington for this weekend and it would be great to be there when it does.

I believe it was set in motion, because they knew they had the votes, in both houses. Chances are very good.
What a historic time to be in Washington, I envy you.

2. We'll be there the Tuesday and Wednesday after that... |

the four kids and I have a tour on Tuesday in the Capital bldg., too. We are so hoping that at least something is going on then!
Hope you have a great time, we're excited! Haven't been to DC since 2001 to visit the city when they were very little. Now they're old enough to really enjoy, appreciate and remember all the sights.

5. This one's just for us |

My husband's always wanted to be there for the Cherry Blossom Festival, we'll probably bring the kids and granddaughter's next time.
Aside from hotel reservations and a two-day pass for the open-top sightseeing tour bus for Saturday and Sunday, I haven't planned anything else. How do you arrange a Capital bldg. tour? Can you share some tips or recommendations?

but you can always try. Just find your senator or representative online (we used one of our senators) and they have a form that you can fill out to get a guided tour. Anyone can go in during their visiting hours to the Capital, but guided tours by your senator's offices are more personalized and often they take you into areas where others don't go. We asked about a month ago (as soon as we decided we could afford the trip) and received an email a week ago that it was on.
It's worth a try, otherwise just go with the general tour which will be just fine too. I can't wait to see the blossoms, too!
We'll be staying with my sister just south of DC and taking the VRE to the Metro both days, then move on to Philly that Thursday for another couple of days.

The Pukes have lost on this one, and they know it, and the incentive to obstruct grows feint with each new hour upon an invigorated White House.
