7. The aim is not to make health insurance companies suffer; it is to expand coverage and security.
That is the standard on which this bill should be judged.

14. The aim of the legislation in question.
I can't speak to your particular motives. For my part, however, though I have no problem with incidental harm to insurance companies, I have no problem with incidental aid, too.

16. Given that the bill was largely written by insurance company lobbyists..
It can hardly be said that the aid to the insurance companies is "incidental".

10. Actually, it isn't.And winning simply to win isn't the answer.
But whatever. I guess it is foolish to actually care about what we won. Apparently all HCR's are created equal and insurance really does little to provide access to "Health Care" anyway. We might just as well have passed a Gingrich health Plan in the 90's and wasted less time. What were we thinking?

13. Some general frustration with their winning at all is totally understandable.
We were told letting the banks win would be good for Main Street, it hasn't been.

9. Wall street, Insurance co. and pharma wrote the bill so I can imagine they are
popping corks about now. However, some on D.U. say they are able to sleep better too know this bill is helping them. Those who have to wait until their pre-existing coverage kicks in will start getting affordable relief in a few years, and hopefully be sleeping better too. But I do find the profit margins increasing over suffering and illness somewhat concerning.

11. Even those companies have a major expense of
paying for employee's health care.

Most business will benefit from controlling the cost of health care. That is companies that have employees that actually do something or produce something.
