If your Congresspersons supported HCR, call and thank them for their patriotism |
|
They need to hear from us.

For taking such a bold stance against the health insurance industry.
Thanks for the idea.

6. John Lewis. I wrote thanks and SO SORRY he had to endure |
|
the hatred from 'patriotic' Americans. I apologized because they never will.

8. Thanks but it's not up to us to determine patriotism. That's a very (R) game. |

13. Zinn said that patriotism is supporting your government when it's right |
|
and protesting the government when it's wrong.
Oh, that wacky Howard.

9. If not, should I ask him to abdicate his throne? |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 07:41 PM by Cleita
Because my Congressman doesn't have a Congressional seat. He has a throne like a king. He was given a legacy seat of a long seated Republican practically gift wrapped. The Democratic Party hasn't run anyone against him in the last two elections and won't this election. So basically he's a king and doesn't have to do anything we pressure him to do. I even tried to talk an independent local politician, who is one of my employer's patients, into running against him. She's pretty liberal, but she said he has the seat sewn up and it wouldn't be worth it to her.

I remember when I moved to NH thinking my vote would never count again, so Republican was the state. Fortunately that changed but I feel your pain with your "enthroned" rep.

14. I will not say my representative by name as I |
|
fear acid reflux when I do. He is a backwoods hick, yessir, nosir, idiot. I am ashamed of him especially because he is a Democrat. He voted against the health bill so you know he is dumb.
