Rep. Gabby Giffords Tuscon office windows were shot out yesterday.

I am very worried about our Arizona Democrats.Especially those in conservative districts. Harry Mitchell, Anne Kirkpatrick and Gabby. They have staked everything on this and few care what is going to happen to these very decent people. The risk they had to take deserved a much better bill.

TUCSON, AZ -- The staff at Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' office worked late into Sunday evening as they awaited the results of a historic health care vote.

The Arizona democrat was one of five that voted yes to health care reform.

Hours after her staff left, someone broke the windows of her Tucson office.

"It is a concern that someone clearly could have gotten hurt," said C.J. Karamargin, Giffords' Tucson spokesperson.

Karamargin confirmed a security guard visited the office around 2 a.m. and found a glass door and side window had been kicked or shot out.

Tucson police say it does not appear anyone entered the office. They are currently investigating if a pellet gun of some kind was used to shatter the door and window.

According to Karamargin, U.S. Capitol police have been notified and local police have already begun investigating the incident.

The door and window have since been boarded up as authorities continue their investigation.

Karamargin said despite the fact that no one was injured, the violent vandalism has left Giffords' staff puzzled.

They understand how passionate people on both sides can be on this issue, but never anticipated anyone would act out in this way.

“It crossed the line of acceptable behavior. We are not going to be deterred by this cowardly act,” Karamargin said.

1. Awful times we live in. And we did deserve a better bill for that kind of risk. nt

congressman we have is now going to have to struggle to win against an incompetant thug.He is now officially one of the 12 most vulnerable seats because angry Dems and angry Republicans and disappointed Indies are furious. If Harry loses his seat over this, I do not think I can vote for the Dems again.I may not agree with this bill but it is only because it wasn't good enough. And if we have to lose Harry to get it, well, the price is too high for me.

6. It does seem it would have made more sense to keep one group happy
Democrats in some districts will be facing just what you are talking about. The right is mad as hell and a lot of the center is. And the left is. Seems getting a good bill and, at least, securing the left would have given them more of a chance. I don't expect to see it but I know some in the House and Senate are still working to get a public option. If that were to happen it would energize the left to go to the polls in November.

In PHX it may have been Sheriff Joe.

Not sure what can be done to get AZ under control, you seem to have so many people who just worship at the Texas alter.

Guy who group up across the street from me in PHX became a cop and basically admitted that he was harassing people who had Obama stickers on their cars.

4. At least she is in Tuscon? Imagine what may happen to Harry Michell
who has the teabaggers camping out at his office in Scottsdale? If windows are being shot out in Tuscon, which is fairly liberal, I am really afraid of what could happen in the Phoenix area.

8. Remember--- this is a federal crime not anything local
even if they were a bunch of rowdy teen agers they can be prosecuted and sent to a prison such as Levenworth.
