15. All they will do is make sure you aren't dying. They won't figure out
what's wrong with you unless it's lifethreatening.

Emergency rooms can NEVER substitute for a general practitioner and internists.

20. Yes, exactly what they do now
I get tired of Republicans saying people can just go to the ER. If the ER deems you're 'stable' you're outta there.

4. I don't think any part of the bill goes into effect until September?
I read that somewhere.

10. Not true
Parts of the bill go into effect immediately, more after 60 days, more after 90 days, more on January 1, 2011, and at specific points thereafter.

16. Nothing goes into effect for at least 90 days. If you have information otherwise,
I'd like to see it with link because that would be GOOD, but everything I have seen FROM THE WH says that not one thing kicks in for at least 90 days.

5. They'll hook you up with the exchange
and help you figure out what health program you qualify for. At least in a few years they will. They aren't going to put up with not getting paid when there will be affordable options for almost everybody.

7. They will treat you and then you will be mailed a bill. You will pay it or toss it.

Lots of people toss it. And then the rest of us get to pay.

11. the 2 times I landed in the emergency room, I paid on the spot via plastic
before the doctor even looked at me. My neighbor, on the other hand, didn't pay hers right away. They sued and won. She ultimately paid it...it just took some time.

She also had bi-annual liens against her property by the town for nonpayment of taxes. She ultimately paid them all off...just like to be an asshole.

Reason I know these things is because she damaged my property, so I did some background research on her.

19. getting uninsured people for profit health insurance was the point
We now have the "right" to affordable health insurance.
We need the right to affordable medical treatment.

14. Same thing, I assume. They will send you a hellacious bill and then
if you don't pay PDQ they'll hound you into bankruptcy.

It's not a healthcare bill, after all. It's a healthcare insurance reform bill.

You WANT some sort of insurance. Trust me.

17. You will have been paying the 'fine' hopefully
because you didn't use the mandate.

So - you will have paid for some of it already. The rest we as taxpayer will pay. (If you default)

Using 'you' in the general sense....
