USA Today: Americans by 9 percentage points have a favorable view of health care overhaul!

Opinions turn favorable on health care plan

WASHINGTON — Americans by 9 percentage points have a favorable view of the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, a notable turnaround from surveys before the vote that showed a plurality against it.

By 49%-40% those surveyed say it was "a good thing" rather than a bad one that Congress passed the bill. Half describe their reaction in positive terms, as "enthusiastic" or "pleased," while about four in 10 describe it in negative ways, as "disappointed" or "angry."

The largest single group, 48%, calls the bill "a good first step" that should be followed by more action on health care. An additional 4% also have a favorable view, saying the bill makes the most important changes needed in the nation's health care system.

2. It's a start! Of course the fucked corporate media will work hard
to give the minority a great big ass microphone
so they can continue shitting in their pants,
and lying their asses off.....

But hey, at least we get one or two days despite
those assholes.

3. Even Republican voters support a PO. Voting 'No' will bite R's in the butt. R's are on the wrong

7. and don't forget that as soon as the Senate Passes the fix,
they will be on record on voting against reducing the deficit,
by way of taking away from banks their profits on student loans.

Guess that Repugs thinks it is good for banks to pad their profit
through the skins of the hard working American students and graduates
all over this country!

11. Well, last night on CNN's new program "John King USA" where John King interviewed
Vickie Kennedy they brought up their own poll after the interview.

They claimed that 59% did not like the HCR bill.

Now, we see that only 40% did not like it in USA's poll.

Hmm... what could possibly account for the ~20% difference?

19. CNN has really taken a turn to the right.
They see everything from the "opposition" perspective - everything. And report on every story from that viewpoint.

15. Well this is how its done. There's no way in hell republicants can run on any form of truth...
The truth scares the shit out of them, its as painful as watching street-tweaks try to eat a box of cotton balls. And that we see in the continued grinding of their teeth littered with violence, bigotries hate and lies. I also do not buy their *instantaneous claims* that the Dem party is done for, they had better know better than that. They're just dumb-struck cause not a one of them voted for it and it still passed - that looks much less good for them than Dems coming up

Especially as the benefits of this HC bill are better understood and translated to the 100's of thousands that will receive them, and some of them gladly; irrespective of the opinions that tear at the bill's framework seeking to end it - even from here at DU, and not just the RW

Granted there are some who will never like this bill, even if it *saves* their Granny's life so that's a given. But these numbers will spread & widen as aggregate positives the sooner people re-learn some key adages, oh, maybe like, I dunno: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

17. Expect
Those numbers to creep up as the bill comes online and starts helping people. The corporate media will of course continue to tell us that Democrats will get trounced in November.
