Neugebarger uses his "baby killer" outcry as a fund-raising video
Edited on Tue Mar-23-10 03:54 PM by joeybee12
One day after admitting he yelled “baby-killer” during Michigan Democrat Bart Stupak’s speech before Sunday evening’s health care vote, Texas Republican Randy Neugebauer has posted a fundraising video on his campaign web site citing the incident.

“Not only did we see the government take over of your health care, but we saw the lives of unborn children used as a bargaining chip to somehow get the needed votes to pass this legislation,” the three-term congressman says in the video, where he’s joined by his wife, Dana. Neugebauer also sent a note about the incident, which is posted along with the video on the conservative Red State blog.

“I spoke very passionately because I believed what was going on was not right for America,” says Neugebauer. “I’m never going to quit speaking on behalf of the unborn.”

Neugebauer has apologized to Stupak over his outburst, but says in the video “I will continue to speak with the same passion that I spoke last night, maybe in a little bit different form, but still with the same intensity.”

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesman Ryan Rudominer called Neugebauer’s pitch “shameless.”

3. Shocking!
:sarcasm:

Nothing is beneath the current infestation of Grand Teabagger Maggots.

It's a damn shame the teabagger maggots don't give a shit about fetuses once the cord is cut.

4. This seems to be the coming way to raise money
Shout out something outrageous then apologize then make a video asking for money. What a scam.

7. I have an idea for his next fundraising video
It starts off with a little girl on a playground swing. It’s a sunny day, birds chirping, and she’s in a spring pattern dress, going up and down. Background music is similarly cheery and bright.

VO: A lovely day and a heart-warming scene. But something’s Not Quite Right.

Ominous music fades in, aperture cranks down, focus tightens on little girl’s face as it goes from happy to blank affect, her eyes dart to the left in a sinister manner.

VO: You see, some day this little girl might decide to have . . . an abortion.

Images of total chaos and destruction that make 2012 look like a cotillion.

VO: But one man, Randy Neugebarger, is willing to stand up for the pre-unborn.

Cut to heroic shot of Neugebarger, flag waving in the breeze behind him, patriotic music begins to swell. Tape of Neugebarger saying, “I’m never going to quit speaking on behalf of the unborn.”

Back to the little girl on the swing. Neugebarger runs up behind her and slaps her on the back of the head and runs away. They shoot numerous takes and settle for the one where he looks least like a scared rabbit, but the verisimilitude is obvious to anyone even half-paying attention. Fade in on Neugebarger 2010 placard.

VO: Re-elect Randy Neugebarger.

“I’m {ow!} Randy Neugebarger {ouch, quit it!} and I approved {I’m sorry I hit you} this message {leave me alooooone!}.”

Provided free to Mr. Neugebarger as a public service by your friendly neighborhood gratuitous.
