along the way and is rushed to the hospital. This would cross state lines and effect the commerce clause.

1. You can suppose a lot of stuff, can't you, to regulate potential commerce that doesn't exist yet
With enough assumption, you can pretty much make an omnipotent government in any area of the law

2. Insurance companies cross state lines,
that is enough.

Congress has the power to regulate interstate commerce, and they have the power to pass laws to meet those ends.

COngress is now regulating insurance companies, one of the laws they made to meet that end is to increase the pool of buyers as a cost control measure.

It is not that they are forcing anyone to buy insurance, it is that they are forcing the insurance companies to accept more.

3. They'll be treated at the cost to the hospital, and ultimately to those of us who are insured.
And whether or not state lines are crossed is irrelevant to the fact that they should be taxed for failing to buy coverage.

4. ARe you buying into the lie that people who can afford health coverage are doing without because
they WANT TO? If you are going to tax them (me) provide a public option. If you want to be more concerned that someone might benefit from your contribution other than you. I can suggest another sight that may be more to your tastes. Last I checked Democratic folks believed it is Governments job to make peoples' lives better.
