With the talk media bully pulpit the repubs have had for around 2 decades - the idea that nearly noone shows up for a press conference "for the other side" in response to HCR bill signed into law is a big deal. The fact that a major msm outlet would capture and publish the moment, feels like some kind of tide has just shifted.

Looking at homestate crazy (but not my rep) "Walking through Bagdad is like walking through a farmer's market (at home)" Pence, appearing irrelevant - quite satisfying.

11. Are we sure this is a pic of the actual press conference? I just don't want to

forward it only to have a photo surface later showing the seats filled with the press -- like this was at the beginning or after it'd officially ended or something. I'm hoping hoping hoping this is actually photo documentation of the only reporters who showed, but just don't want to have to retract it if it turns out not to be the case. :shrug:

Maybe a video would answer the question, I'll go see if I can find one.

I just think that if it were a legit, put out the word type of press conference, and only those few souls showed up, it'd be picked up by the news rather than just a photo posted on blogs.

BUT, I admit, I'm guilty of being overly cautious and suspicious since I've been burned (and embarrassed) so many times. I've learned a painful lesson.

I'm sure you guys are right, and I probably should have kept my mouth shut. Hope we'll hear/see lots more about this painful presser! :hi:

seems to be a hoosier problem (Lugar, Bayh and Pence have all had presidential stars in their eyes at different times.) Pence is the looniest of the bunch. Some speculate that the reason he got out of the Governor's race is due to the difficult times (for a governor) - and his presidential ambitions.

I find the picture hilarious. Doubt that it goes into the print edition. Hope it does. :hi:
